One of the songs for Arrival was a strings-keyboards-and-wordless-vocals number, originally entitled 'Ode To Dalecarlia'. It was renamed 'Arrrival' when cover art designer Rune Söderqvist’s then common-law-wife suggested that ‘Arrival’ could be a good title for an album. So the name of the tune was promptly changed to make it the title track.
To accompany the title of the album with a good picture, ABBA et out to "Barkarby flygfält". This airfield in Barkarby is north-west from Stockholm City. Sadly no other pictures from the session other than the ones here have been released. |
