In London there was fever, hysteria, sweaty obsessed crowds. Because exactly 25 years after ABBA winning the Eurovision Song Contest the musical Mamma Mia! opens in London's Prince Edward Theatre. Yes, that's the very same theatre that staged Chess in 1986. The Mamma Mia! premiere seemed to be the ultimate occasion to meet two, three or possible all four ABBA members. Of course only two showed up as you can see on the (sometimes a bit blurry) pictures.

On the ABBF-fanclub in 1999 day my wife Jolanda won two tickets for the premiere. She was kind enough to let me travel with her, so I was one of those fans who saw the musical on it's opening night. We found the musical quite enjoyable and had a great time in London. Of course we brought our camera. And we took some pictures.

We even used our camera when we went to the Mezzo club; the place where the after-party was held. That was also the place when Benny autographed my Waterloo CD booklet.
